Declared positions: Bring London to 1 million residents through investment
Transit: Our transit system will be enhanced to encourage growth. Bus Rapid Transit is the first step in a 25-30 year plan to build a transit system that can handle one million residents. Shift London needs to be amended so that in 10-15 years we can inexpensively lay Light Rail in place and in 25 years to build tunnels to turn it from Rapid Transit into a Metro. Zoning and tax incentives should be applied to attract a grocery store to the central station. This will help alleviate London’s Food Deserts and provide value to Londoners who need to stop for dinner supplies on the way home from a long day at work.
Clear investment by the city along Rapid Transit lines will show developers and businesses our interest in helping them grow, creating jobs and affordable housing options.
Adding a Crescent shaped highway to the city’s official plan will aid growth in the North and East ends. Providing efficient transportation to and from the 401 and around the city is of vitally important.
Safe Injection Sites: Providing harm reduction programs that focus on helping both those with and those who love someone with addiction https://millietime.ca/onpaceforonemillion/
